Been thinking about my dad today. Today he would have turned 82. Growing up he was an amazing example of how to be a dad. I think he'd be proud of how I turned out as a dad too. In many ways I just followed that example.
My dad died when he was 60. He never really got to know all of his grandchildren and now great grandchildren. You see, and there are many reasons for it but, my dad didn't take care of his body and one Sunday afternoon his heart exploded in his chest and that was it.
My message to my family and friends is this. Starting TODAY I mean right now you need to make a decision. A decision to give that family and friends the greatest gift you could ever give and that's your health. No excuses. You just do whatever it takes because I'm here to tell you if you don't you are cheating everyone in your life including yourself of the full greatness you have to offer. JUST START.
I loved my dad very much. I know if he could say just one thing it would be what I've just said.
